Shelby Garcia, BSN, RN, CANS

The first thing you need to know about Shelby is that she is back in school to obtain her master’s degree and will eventually be a Nurse Practitioner. Shelby already has dual Bachelor of Science degrees, one from UT Austin and the other from Texas Tech’s Nursing School. She is also a Certified Aesthetic Nurse Specialist (CANS), a nationally recognized certification for advanced aesthetic providers.

She started her career in a Trauma Surgical Intermediate Care Unit, but her competition in pageants gave her a passion for health, beauty, and fitness. She found herself drawn to working as a nurse injector in a plastic surgeon’s office in Houston, TX, and the rest is a beautiful history.

Being able to combine and manipulate beauty with science is still fascinating to Shelby even years later. She believes that her patients should be satisfied from the moment they walk into the L.A.B. Med Spa until they leave. She loves one on one patient interaction in order to truly understand what each individual wants and needs from their treatment plan. Shelby is responsible for aesthetic consultations, pre and post op care, and is certified to inject all available neurotoxins and dermal fillers on the U.S. market.

Shelby was born and raised in Dallas, TX, and loves spending time with her friends and family when time allows. She absolutely has the travel bug, and do not forget to ask her about the love of her life, her mini Schnauzer, Nina.
