Dr. Stephen R. Ellis, MD, Co-Founder and Medical Director of the L.A.B. med spa, is board certified by the American Board of Anesthesiology and serves on numerous leadership committees. He is also Chief of Staff at Medical City Lewisville and Medical Director of Trinity Park Surgery Center. A Texas A&M alumnus, Dr. Ellis is widely respected for his medical expertise and community service.

Recipient of the prestigious Frist Humanitarian Award, Dr. Ellis devotes his time to causes close to his heart. Inspired by his mother’s battle with MS, he has ridden the MS 150 for over 20 years to raise awareness and funding for research. He also volunteers with Faith in Practice, providing anesthesia care during mission trips in Guatemala.

Outside of medicine, Dr. Ellis supports veterans’ organizations, embraces challenges like Seal Fit and Go Ruck, and cherishes time with his wife Sonya, their son Cade (a fellow Aggie), and their beloved Labradoodle, Tux. Known for his dedication, compassion, and integrity, Dr. Ellis embodies the values at the heart of the L.A.B. med spa.

The first thing you need to know about Shelby is that she is back in school to obtain her master’s degree and will eventually be a Nurse Practitioner. Shelby already has dual Bachelor’s of Science Degrees: one from UT Austin and the other from Texas Tech’s Nursing School. She started her career in a Trauma Surgical Intermediate Care Unit, but her competition in pageants gave her a passion for health, beauty, and fitness. She found herself drawn to working as a nurse injector in a plastic surgeon’s office in Houston TX and the rest is a beautiful history.

Being able to combine and manipulate beauty with science is still fascinating to Shelby even year’s later. She believes that her patients should be satisfied from the moment they walk into the L.A.B. med spa until they leave. She loves to have one on one patient interaction in order to really understand what they want and need from each individual treatment. Shelby is responsible for aesthetic consultations, pre and post op care, and certified to inject all available neurotoxins and dermal fillers on the US market.

Shelby was born and raised in Dallas, TX and loves spending time with her friends and family when time allows. She absolutely has the travel bug, and don’t forget to ask her about the love of her life  – her mini Schnauzer Nina.
